The MxPro 5 series is fully expandable from 1 to 4 loops and supplied with 4 onboard sounder circuits, 20 programmable zonal LEDs with slide-in labels, and 25 System LEDs for information purposes. There are also 4 programmable function buttons with LED indication for confirmation of operation. The control panel consists of the latest dual flash-based microprocessor technology combined with a high resolution, high contrast, graphical LCD display and tactile keypad providing a simple select and click programming aid for engineer configuration and end-user operation. Compatible with AdvancedLive (UK&I only), which is the fire panel monitoring solution that enables secure, easy, real-time management of an Advanced fire system. Powerful cause-and-effect programming and enhanced trace diagnostics make the panel suitable for a wide range of site applications from small to large complex multi-area systems. Fully programmable onsite via the onboard alphanumeric keypad, or PC-NeT-022 configuration software.

The remote terminals utilise the same graphical LCD user interface that can be found on the MxPro 5 series fire panels and are based upon the same advanced, flash based, microprocessor technology. The MxPro 5 panels and remote terminals can communicate over the same 2-core network cable. They feature an integral network interface incorporating a special screen termination to prevent mains frequency earth-loop currents flowing between network nodes. The Ad-NeT network operates as a true peer-to-peer system with full cross panel reporting, control and cause-and-effect functionality of up to 2000 zones. All remote terminals incorporate buzzer mute, view, enable/disable and test facilities with dedicated system and navigation keys for simple user control. The display information is fully programmable by individual zone or sector and can display any combination of fires, faults, pre-alarms or plant alarms. E.g. can display all information in its own sector, but can only show fire signals from other sectors of a building.

The TrueAlarm sounder base has a builtin piezoelectric sounder that provides a high 90 dBA output whilst maintaining a low current requirement. Used with the interchangeable TrueAlarm detectors, the sounder can be powered from 24Vdc or from a compatible Notification Appliance Circuit (NAC). It is synchronised coded/ temporal coded by the CIE. or by the NAC. The sounder can be manually activated from the CIE. and sounder operation can operate independently to detector operation The sounder base has a built-in magnetic test feature.

The FMC-120-DKM Manual Call Points handle manual alarm triggering and are used with conventional technology.In the event of an alarm, the glass pane (2) is broken first, then the manual call point (3) is pressed hard. This activates the micro switch for alarm triggering and the indicator LED (4) blinks. A locking mechanism holds the pressed manual call point. The manual call point can be reset with the reset lever (5). The indicator LED (4) goes out. This does not reset the alarm on the fire panel.

Overview :
 SIGI-271 Fire Alarm Call Points are part of Edwards’s Signature Series system. These integrated assemblies feature the familiar KAC Installers’ Series Call Point packaged with Signature Series intelligent addressable/analogue interface electronics. In all 271 Series Call Points, the switch is held off by the edge of the glass. When the glass is broken by pressing directly on it, the switch is released and an alarm sent to the Signature loop controller. A protective plastic coating on the glass prevents operator injury and inhibits the release of glass fragments. Each Signature Series Call Point constantly runs self-checks to provide important maintenance information. The results of the self-check are automatically updated and permanently stored in the Call Point’s non-volatile memory. This information is accessible for review any time at the control panel, PC, or by using the SIGAPRO Signature Program/Service Tool. The information stored in the Call Point’s memory includes:
• Call Point serial number, address, type code.
• Manufacture date, hours of operation, last maintenance date.
• Number of recorded troubles, alarms, time and date of last alarm. • Up to 24 possible trouble codes that may be used to specifically     diagnose faults.
