Our UL range has multiple options for intelligent addressable sensors. All sensors are designed for optimum functionality in mid-large sized builds. They are all soft addressed and have integral short circuit isolators. All UL addressable sensors are specifically designed for compatibility with the UL addressable sensor base (UCAB300) and UL addressable sounder base (ULCAS380). The Discovery Heat Detector uses a single thermistor to sense the air temperature at the detector position. The thermistor is connected in a resistor network, which produces a voltage output dependent on temperature. The design of the resistor network, together with the processing algorithm in the microcontroller, gives an approximately linear characteristic from 10ºC to 80ºC. This linearised signal is further processed, depending upon the response mode selected, and converted to an analogue output.• Unaffected by wind or atmospheric pressure • Ideal for environments that are dirty or smoky under normal circumstances • Well suited to kitchens and smoking rooms • Five EN54 approved response modes • Remote test feature

The Select Series low profile thermal detectors are intelligent addressable plug-in detectors with point ID capability that enables each detector address to be set with rotary address switches providing exact device locations. Detector sensitivity is continually monitored and reported to the fire alarm control panel. These intelligent sensors utilize a state-of-the-art thermistor sensing circuit for fast response.

The Signature Optica Series SIGA-OSD smoke detector brings advanced optical sensing technology to a practical design that increases efficiency, saves installation time, cuts costs, and extends life safety and property protection capabilities. Continuous self-diagnostics ensure reliability over the long-haul, while environmental compensation helps reduce maintenance costs.

Like all Signature Optica Series detectors, the SIGA-OSD is an intelligent device that gathers analog information from multiple optical sensors, converting this data into digital signals. Utilizing dual optical wavelengths combined with multiple detection angles, the SIGA-OSD differentiates particles that are not representative of actual smoke. Particle data is input into digital filters which feed a series of ratios removing signal patterns that are typical of nuisance sources, thus reducing unwanted alarms. To make an alarm decision, the detector's on-board microprocessor measures and analyzes all optical sensor readings and compares this information to preprogrammed settings.

Application:

The SIGA-OSD detects particles from a wide range of combustion sources and will trigger an alarm when smoke density in the chamber reaches preprogrammed level. Thanks to its highperformance reflective response technology, the smoke sensor responds quickly and reliably to a wide range of fire types, including both fast and slow burning fires fueled by combustibles typically found in modern multi-use buildings.

Compatibility:

• The SIGA-OSD detector is compatible only with control panels using a Signature Loop controller.

Installation:

• Signature Series detectors mount to North American 1-gang boxes, 3-1/2 inch or 4 inch octagon boxes, and to 4 inch square electrical boxes 1-1/2 inches (38 mm) deep. They mount to European BESA and 1-gang boxes with 60.3 mm fixing centers. See mounting base installation and wiring for more information.

Sensing and reporting technology:

• The microprocessor in each detector provides additional benefits – Self-diagnostics and History Log, Automatic Device Mapping, and Fast, Stable Communication.

Testing & Maintenance:

• Each detector automatically identifies when it is dirty or defective and causes a "dirty detector" message. The detector's sensitivity measurement can also be transmitted to the loop controller. A sensitivity report may be printed to satisfy NFPA sensitivity measurements, which must be conducted at the end of the first year and every two years thereafter.
• The user-friendly maintenance program shows the current state of each detector and other pertinent messages. Single detectors may be turned off temporarily from the control panel. Availability of maintenance features is dependent on the fire alarm system used.

Model HI121 from Siemens  Fire Safety is a thermal detector that comes with a new magnet-test feature. The magnet-test feature allows for Model HI121 to be tested without the use of a heat gun, providing quick testing for installers and test personnel to prove the integrity of the wiring and proper connection to the fire alarm control panel (FACP). An indication of supervision status is provided by Siemens Fire’s unique (3) threecolor light-emitting diode (LED) provided locally on the detector  and optionally with the various remote LED indicators

DI-9102E Intelligent Photoelectric Smoke Detector is addressable type fire detection device, build up fire alarm system together with fire alarm panel and other alarm devices. By light-scattering technology, the detector is suitable for hotel, restaurant, office building, school, bank, warehouse, library, computer room, switch room, and etc

The VESDA VLF-500 is a very early warning aspirating smoke detector, designed for smaller, business-critical environments up to 500 m² (5,380 sq ft). It works by continuously drawing air into a pipe network, filtering it, and then using laser-based technology to detect smoke. The VLF-500 is known for its ease of installation and commissioning, and it offers an intuitive display to provide users with instant information about smoke events. 

The VLF-250 is an aspirating smoke detector, specifically a VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) LaserFOCUS model designed to detect very early warning smoke in small to medium-sized areas. It uses a pipe network to sample air, filter it, and then analyze it using light scattering technology to detect even the smallest amounts of smoke.

The NOTIFIER FSP-951 Series intelligent plug-in smoke detectors are designed for both performance and aesthetics. A new modern, sleek, contemporary design and enhanced optical sensing chamber is engineered to sense smoke produced by a wide range of combustion sources in accordance with more stringent code standards. The FSP-951 Series detector sensitivity can be programmed in the control panel software. Sensitivity is continuously monitored and reported to the panel. Point ID capability allows each detector’s address to be set with rotary, decimal address switches, providing exact detector location for selective maintenance when chamber contamination reaches an unacceptable level. Dual electronic thermistors add 135°F (57°C) fixed temperature thermal sensing on the FSP-951T. The FSP-951R is a remote test capable detector for use with DNR Series duct detector housings. FSP-951 series detectors are available for both FlashScan and CLIP applications as designated.

Series 65 incorporates well-proven sensing technologies, including an Integrated Circuit based on that used in XP95 analogue addressable detectors.
The Series 65 range has a wide operating voltage of 9–33V and consists of ionisation, integrating ionisation and optical smoke detectors, four grades of heat detector and a range of bases.
This product guide aims to provide engineers with comprehensive information on Series 65, in order to be able to design optimum solutions to fire protection problems .
OPERATING PRINCIPLES :
:-The detector has a moulded self-extinguishing white polycarbonate case with wind resistant smoke inlets. Nickel plated stainless steel wiper contacts connect the detector to the base .
:-Inside the detector case a printed circuit board has the ionisation chamber mounted on one side and the signal processing electronics on the other.

The MI-RHSE-S2 uses the same thermistor and microprocessor technology to provide an alarm when the rate of rise in temperature exceeds 10°C/ minute (typical) or if the temperature exceeds a threshold of 58°C (Response Class A1R).

With the implementation of the Advanced Protocol, any model can be software configured to be either a fixed 58°, a fixed 78° unit or a 58° with rate of rise device. For backwards compatibility and approval continuity.
