Simplex® compact air duct smoke sensor housings provide TrueAlarm operation for the detection of smoke in air conditioning or ventilating ducts.  Sampling tubes (sold separately) are installed into the duct allowing air to be directed to the smoke sensor mounted in the housing.

The Simplex 4098-9755 is a basic addressable sensor housing; operating power is supplied by either MAPNET II or IDNet communications (No relay output).  A Simplex 4098-9714 sensor is included and installed in the housing.

This duct housing is compatible with the Simplex 4010, 4020, 4100, 4100U, and 4120 fire alarm control panels.  It is also compatible with the Simplex 2120 CDT if configured for MAPNET II, TrueAlarm operation.

The SIGA-SB is the standard base for Signature Series detectors. It connects the detector to the signaling line circuit (SLC), and provides wiring terminals for connection to a SIGA-LED.
To install the SIGA-SB:
1. Mount the SIGA-SB on a compatible electrical box using the   screws provided with the electrical box.
2. Wire the base as shown in the “Wiring” section.
3. Write the address assigned to the detector on the label provided and apply the label to the inside rim of the base.
4. Use a SIGA-TS trim skirt to finish the installation as needed.
To wire the SIGA-SB:
1. Break the wire run at each terminal. Do not loop the signaling line  circuit field wires around the terminals.
2. Insulate the shield with electrical tap

A 25.5mm high shallow base and a 40mm high deep base are available. Unless otherwise stated, all descriptions in this manual take the shallow base as example.  

I-9403 Intelligent Sounder Strobe is an audible and visual alarm device installed in field, which can be activated by fire alarm control panel in fire control center. After activated, it will generate strong audible and visual alarm signal to warn people in field. A 25.5mm high shallow base and a 40mm high deep base are available. The sounder strobe comes with the shallow base. The deep base C-94DB should be ordered separately. Unless otherwise stated, all descriptions in this manual take the shallow base as example.
